I can only assume they were hoping/planning for the documents to get lost, and/or the sender was counting on Tucker hyping up the story while they were in transit (only to discover they were bullshit when they finally arrived). I.e. it was all about Tucker being able to make vague assertions without having the actual documents, so they couldn’t be revealed as fakes. It’s the only thing that makes sense.
no secure document drop, or bad upload speeds and a really big drive?
presumably a station wagon full of data is still faster than the internet. id assume a flash drive is slower, but it probably depends
[ edit: oh look! here’s a much better explainer than me. is there an xkcd for everything? the answer might be yes. ]
While FedEx is big enough to keep up with the next few decades of actual usage… Cisco estimates internet traffic is growing at about 29% annually. At that rate, we’d hit the FedEx point in 2040. Of course, the amount of data we can fit on a drive will have gone up by then, too. The only way to actually reach the FedEx point is if transfer rates grow much faster than storage rates.
It looks like the biggest flash drive you can get at Walgreens is 64 gigabytes
Through an old 802.11g wifi router it would take about eight hours to upload the whole thing
Google says a station wagon would take 40 hours from L.A. to New York if it never stopped
We could postulate exotic equipment and unusual situations, but probably Tucker is just a fool
ups would be overnight, which would be easiest on the user – especially if you have a mailroom or daily scheduled pickups or similar ( though i think it was being delivered to his home? ) no excuse though for the sender not having a copy as it would be trivial to save locally.
no bones about it. he proves it every time he does his show.
I just read that the Fellowship of the Flash Drive was traversing Middle Earth in the opposite direction, as Carlson was … doing his show from Los Angeles?
I don’t care, even if I can figure it out it’s not worth the Orange Pencil of Shame for an edit
So now Tucker has a hard drive full of kiddie porn too?
It’s not even that clever. They’re just running the 2016 play book again, doing a weak rerun of 'buttery males" on Biden thinking it will steal the election.
He was voted most likely for that at Fox News before this scandal, so why not?
