When it becomes clear that Don is on the way out, we can hope that at least a few more cowards in the Republican party start immediately distancing themselves from him. With some help, the deplorable effects might be mitigated before he’s officially escorted from the oval office.

As a Canadian I am damn happy that our border is closed. Sorry folks, but your place is a fucking mess right now and I want nothing to do with it.
My kid plays in a hockey league that until this year has included teams from Seattle. Every year we’d have to make the trip to Seattle for a game or two, and they’d have to trek up to us. I think this year that is off the table.
Many of the local soccer teams have, in the last few years, made the decision not to play in the US anymore. Too many immigrant kids, brown kids on the teams - and crossing the border is fraught when you are entering a country that throws kids into concentration camps when they have excess melanin or whatever. This is the last straw for most of us, the US kids will just have to play with each other.
One does not simply drive into Mordor.

Our country has a fucking disgraceful record on trans refugees.
Hopefully this is in the process of changing as its part of the programme for government that was agreed after the endless shenanigans. Or if this government collapses it would change very suddenly.

I’m screaming in hysterical laughter. My drug snuggling, gun running cousins in Cambodia contacted me after 11 yrs demanding I come home. Where I’ll be “safe”. No Covid-19 deaths there.
Except I’m unmarried and the youngest in my family. Which makes me property. So. I can be “safe” in Cambodia or be in my own apt, have a work from home job and will probably catch Covid-19 in the US. Then die.
EDIT: I WAS going to edit snuggling to smuggling but it works either way.
