UC Berkeley chancellor has office "escape door" installed as security measure against protesters

Evidence suggests that this is not a safe assumption

Alienation growing.

So there are no pictures of a beleaguered chancellor pushing their way through protesting students.

If we can’t assume that, then he education system is utterly broken and the door is the least of our troubles, though. How did a drooling moron become the chancellor of such a prominent institution? Are the members of the UC board of regents drooling morons as well? How deep does this rot go?

So, in order to avoid damaging publicity, the Chancellor ordered a silly act which we are now discussing on one of the most popular sites in America? Are we back to ‘drooling moron?’

It’s Barbra Streisand’s door:

It’s drooling morons all the way down.

Just joking. The system is broken, but I don’t think he’s a moron. I think he’s an entitled elitist who doesn’t want to face the great unwashed student body. I will say this of student protestors. Though often on the side of the angels, there is a nontrivial fraction of them that cannot control their tempers when they get intoxicated on their own outrage. When the people they’re protesting against simply give them the blank disregard of the no-comment face, they get frustrated and start screaming. It’s embarrassing to watch.

so you just need another trapdoor leading to the next office down.

More or less. It isn’t like it is 1968 anymore.

I believe that’s what we call the toilet.
