UK general election discussion thread - Post Mortem

Yeah, I saw that. Belweather seat, high target for Labour, and even with a new Tory they still extended their majority. 4th different female MP in a row, maybe that’s something.

My Green vote didn’t help much even if it was counted.

Laws gone, Alexander conceded apparently.

BBC have changed their prediction to Conservatives short by one seat. With Sinn Fein abstaining that’s a small majority.

ShitShitShitShitShit

… the opportunity to stand down later in the day

There appears to be a man in Arabic dress filming himself giving Cameron the finger.

Stand down in favour of who? Farron’s the only other guy left, really.

Are lords still allowed to lead parties?

Return for Pantsdown?

No result yet for Jeremy Cunt?

Its time for the Alexander moment…

And he loses. 20% swing to SNP

The Tories are taking all their gains from the LDs.

I think Cameron had a lot more in common with Clegg than a lot of the real nutjobs on the right of his party, who’ll now be holding him to ransom all the time.

At least the govt will be losing a lot of votes in this next parliament.

I missed one

David Laws is out.

And so is George Galloway

My old MP John Hemming is gone too. Good.

Fuck me, Corby went Tory again?

Danny Alexander looks miserable.

“Ed Balls’ seat is rumoured to be extremely tight.”

I’m getting very tired, I think.

I’m trying to resist the the temptation to attempt to start The Revolution.

“depressing news from thanet south, they havent started counting yet, may be mid morning for result. council officials blaming volume of votes & problems with verifying postal votes…”

So Mr Farage hangs on for at least one more day.

Even the Tory was cheering for Labour’s Naseem Shah on the Bradford West Dais.

Galloway must be one annoying ass.

And the award for biggest understatement of the night goes to…

There isn’t a more loathed figure in British politics. Including Farage.

It looks like Mark Reckless has lost.

So who do you think will replace Miliband?

Cooper? Umunna?
