I didn’t get it either, and… i’m fine with that? It’s an older phone which i’m pretty sure uses 4G (LTE), but the version of LineageOS i use is not up to date.
Hmmmm?
I saw this earlier and I am still so confused by this whole story.
I mean, there’s a royal playlist?? What even is this any more? Is King Charles going to be spinning the ones and twos in the marquee after the coronation? I mean, who thought any of this was a good idea?
Charles, I’d imagine…
But isn’t this always the thing - that it’s considered a national celebration that includes playing music, etc?
Whether it SHOULD be is probably a good question to explore, but that’s not the one Charles has any interest in exploring… for obvious reasons. The royals aren’t entirely popular anyway, though it seems like people did seem to make an exception for Elizabeth the last few years of her life… but I don’t know that Charles has EVER been popular…
It’s something for the kids to listen to on their walk to the foodbank.
Certainly not within my living memory, but it sure feels like there’s a lot of… “Authoritywashing”? (Is that a thing?) going on to try and convince us all that we’ve always thought of him as a regal monarch, and not just a general nincompoop.
Another out-of-touch, rich old dude who doesn’t pay taxes and expects us to pay for his new hat.
Still, he’s a useful distraction from the current UK shitshow.
… if he’d been King since he was 25, he sure would be “popular” by now, wouldn’t he
I suppose this is really my objection to it; of course there will be pageantry but even as a devout (small-r) republican, I expected a bit more… pomp and splendour than “radio-friendly dad-rock”…
“CBI president ‘shocked’ to discover shitheads in an organisation that exists solely to promote shitheadedness”
Yeah, no doubt.
It’s apparently, all they could get…
One of those things is not like the other… there’s plenty of money in the UK, we just have to take it back from assholes like Huw, and the people he’s representing…
“Just accept you’re poorer!”
