Meaning their party. Not the populace.

Throw the entire party out with her.

Oh, they can all fuck off, no problem. Just a shame it’s hitting everyone else.

Stoopid political fallout.

I’m sure he’s very happy at these kind and very public words.

Some mixed news- good that it happened, bad that it needed to happen:

What she did (handing her prescribed medicines to another) is illegal.

Plus, such actions help with the spread of antibiotic resistance, reducing the availability of effective antibiotics to medical practice, generally.

She is not fit to be a Health Secretary (but then she wasn’t even before this revelation).

I’d actually like some further info on this. (context, UK Green party member)

It seems something unlikely to start with, seems unlikely to not have been dealt with… (other parties would go 300% on this had they found out…)

What is the actual issue?

If there is a problem i want to know, but this has seemingly come out of nowhere?
If i have missed something i want to know…

If nothing else, she will be remembered as the inspiration for some of the most creative metaphors in political history.

Today’s U-turn watch:

Live TV announcement today from the new chancellor:

  • Income Tax basic rate cuts- scrapped
  • Income tax top rate cuts- already scrapped
  • Corporation tax cuts- already scrapped

New spending cuts-

  • Support for energy bills no longer guaranteed for two years, current support will only last up until April, huge price rises might start again at that point.
  • All government departments asked to find savings.

There’s basically very little left of the mini-budget. The only things that survive from that are:

  • Planned increase in National insurance cancelled
  • Cut to stamp duty (tax on purchasing houses, England only) for properties under £1/4M
  • Removing limits on Financial industry bonuses
