nowI’m seeing reports of fuselage damage on the side facing the engine - clearly something came off the engine and struck just below peoples feet. link

Laboratory examination of fan blade No. 11 revealed a low cycle fatigue (LCF) fracture that originated on the interior cavity wall directly below the surface.
