Its unfortunate that Kim Jong Don is turning out to be so great for business. For example, he’s singularly responsible for moving Colbert from the bottom to the top of the late-night talk-show ratings. Its a really hollow way to sell product - instead of being defined by any innate quality its all about opposition to grotesqueness. But what happens when that grotesqueness is gone? There is a perverse incentive to keep him around so companies will have a cheap and easy way to run their marketing. Like the CBS CEO said, “He may not be good for America, but he’s great for CBS.”
