Watching silly cartoon characters solving silly ghost stories their sexuality or what they did in the privacy of the Mystery Machine never really crossed my mind.
I look forward to the day when something like this is such a nothingburger that no one bats an eye. Some hopeful future time where the reaction to a popular character being gay or trans or Black is “Eh, we see that all the time.”
To get there though, we need more representation now.
