This is a failure of how Tiktok embeds work when embedded objects are disabled in the client. If the embed were behaving you’d see the Actual Video in your browser, and the link would take you to the totally unintuitive Tiktok grid view. But with embeds forbidden (due to browser plugins or 3rd party policies or whatever) you just get a relatively useless link. There’s not a lot of great workarounds unless you enable the appropriate embeds or are willing to brave the grid view.

Yeah, whenever an external link doesn’t work directly from a site like this, I assume it’s proof my protections are working as intended.
