Wen? No, he was Prime Minister.
So who was the previous president? Yes.
No. Who was the president before this one? Yes, Hu.
Really? Yes before the real Li. He’s president now.
How does that work? No Hua was the 3rd Premier.
Wen was that? No Wen was the last Prime minister
Sam you say. Was that Sam Yung Gai?

The U.S. has not accepted UNCLOS because of opposition from Republicans in the Senate, where treaties must be approved by a two-thirds' vote. Failure to act on the treaty has drawn regular critiques from U.S. President Barack Obama.
...
Groves is among the camp of conservatives [he's from the douchenozzle Heritage Foundation] who are generally skeptical about U.S. participation in international treaties and systems, viewing them as undermining U.S. sovereignty. He also is concerned that UNCLOS will subject the U.S. to stricter and, in his view, unnecessary environmental standards.
“All indications are that if we joined the Law of the Sea treaty, that all kinds of meritless environmental lawsuits would be brought against us,” Groves said.
Curious and a little worried about what China will do as response to this.
EDIT: Wanted to point out that the bolded part of that statement reeks of the same bullshit coming out of trump, and it also plays directly to China’s argument that the UNCLOS is a threat to their maritime soverignty (especially as the UN was built and funded by the west).
Also curious what the relationship between Russia and China is looking like right now.
The trubs with the military thing is this: Their gear is from the eighties, their troops don’t wear armour and modern warships run circles around china’s small fleet.
They are seen long before they see opponents.
The chinese military may be the largest standing force in the world, but it’s been edging towards obsolescence for years now and the PRC can’t seem to buy or steal the tech needed to keep themselves relevant.
