Bubonic plague is bacterial, not viral, so you can’t vaccinate for it? It’s easily treated with antibiotics though. I already listen to Futility Closet so maybe I’ll find out what they meant when this comes up in my feed.

Vaccination can be for both viral and bacterial infections. Cholera, bubonic plague, pertussis and diphtheria are all bacterial.
