Barbed wire was a horrible invention. Thousands of bats get their wigs entangled in it and die hanging there. Occasionally a human finds and helps them, but not often. I was glad of the man’s distain for the barbed wire. (and yes there are “reasons” for it, but it’s horrible)
DON"T touch a bat in Australia. There is no Rabies here but the closest analog is passed by bats and any bite might be fatal.
For others - that is not the Honey Badger, he just has a similar hair style. He looks like just a tradie passing in his ute. The pose with holding the sheep’s legs looks like a shearer.
I’ve rescued sheep alongside a river where they feel down the slope and were unable to get back up. Yes, very similar process to this - trying to lift them high enough while they struggle to be allowed to hurt themselves.
