Millie already said it, but the poet didn’t say only. I haven’t seen anyone in the discussion thread say only. You seem to be assuming what she meant. She’s calling out old white men but that says nothing about other people who may or may not take the same kind of actions.

If I say that Millie disagrees with you, does it mean that only Millie disagrees with you? Of course not. Other people disagree with you too!

Her precise point is that the feminist of whom you speak who is “policing speech” is reacting to the actions of a much larger and more pervasive police force. You happen to be a member of that police force, so you see its actions as normative, and hence invisible, but she does not.

it is that the very first post here was figuratively shouted down by the very second post. There are more ways to “shout down” than actual shouting. Clever, snarky gifs are one. Another is to brand your opponent as a “dudebro”, or use their previous posts to across-the-board dismiss whatever they have to say.

While that’s not typically an appropriate response, in this case the first person was a flagrant trolley whose only contributions have been obnoxiously derailing conversations and the second person (hi) has no regrets.
