We’re polite and passive aggressive. The two aren’t mutually exclusive.
I get people who don’t know me saying “Canadians are so nice!” I usually grin and correct them. “Nope. We’re polite. Just as many bastards as anywhere else, but we say ‘please’ and ‘thank-you’ and ‘sorry’ mid-bastardry.”

Indoctrinating children into hatred is something I cannot abide. I suppose adults are entitled to hold their bigoted and hateful beliefs, but to impose them on their children is beyond reprehensible.
