Does it work for Tiktok and Instagram? I find that nearly all ‘proper’ videos play just fine, it’s those effing dumb antisocial media things that won’t play without taking down the privacy shields.

I’ve used it on both, I believe. If BB has posted an article with that type of media in the path couple of months, I’ve used this method to watch it.
