I can guarantee you that if it hadn’t been Tories in power, McArdle would have been first in line to blame the government. Libertarians are “flexible” that way.

79 is likely still an underestimate. There’s a Google Doc doing the rounds that names and gives the flat numbers of 146 ‘missing’ residents.
Not sure what your point is. Again, you’re just providing more evidence of the cautious approach the authorities are, have been, and should be, taking here.
