No wonder the fly-over states are full of grumpy folks; they missed out on the catharsis of 1980’s exploitation films. A mate and I used to go to a local store each week to rent a couple of videos (sci-fi/fantasy/horror); we’d spend an hour or two eating crap food and watching entertainment of variable quality. My friend died recently, and I’ve started watching Youtube Video Review channels to get back in touch with our happy times. “The Gate” is still a great movie.
