how many acres of trees did it take for him to build this???
A friend built a log-cabin about the same size without any power tools a few years ago. When I asked him what he learned and if he’d change anything if he were doing it again he said “I’d use a chain saw.”

Yeah. It seems like he was using hand tools out of practicality more than any sort of commitment to the process.
Although, he didn’t seem to use any chainsaws, which would have been perfectly practical and saved a lot of work.

Having made a scorched cedar fence, I can tell you that it is not waterproof or even water resistant.
