kids under 3 are free at disneyland. I suspect many parents bring them in part because they don’t have to pay a babysitter. ha. Also I went with a friend with a baby and got to go on a lot of rides twice in a row. You can get a “stroller pass” so the parents can switch with the one watching the baby and go to the front of the line with the kids or friends. Not an ideal way to enjoy a theme park but if you have kids you gotta make compromising.
Disney Jail was the stuff of legend for any high school senior who got to go to Grad Night at Disneyland. Unfortunately, no-one from my school got into trouble (or got caught) so the mystique persisted.
I went last year for the first time in decades – no kids with me. It was even better than I remembered. To be fair, it helped that I didn’t go to the park with a stick up my arse.
No jails. Just a stern talking-to. From Mel Gibson.
Never take mushrooms
and ride on space mountain
you just might end up in Disneyland jail
Never drink vodka
pass out on the monorail
you just might end up in Disneyland jail

If you choose to take the red pill:
During non-COVID times Disney makes a lot of money from their guest band program, and often has several different high school groups performing a day during peak times. Each group pays fees and buys tickets for all of their students (at a discounted rate but far from free) plus Disney knows that a lot of parents and family members will pay for their own full-priced admission, hotel rooms, etc in order to watch the kids perform. Any school can apply to perform. I don’t know what criteria Disney uses to decide which ones get to play but there’s definitely a wide variety in skill levels on display.
Good to know! So my school applied to do this then…strange. Wonder why? Ah well.
My understanding is that American high school bands commonly do quite a bit of fundraising in order to go perform at random places/events all over the country and world. Why? I dunno. Just a fun thing to do, I guess.
King’s Island is my “Home” park too.
I also really enjoy Cedar Point for the amazing coasters. In Forida, Busch Gardens in Tampa is my favorite, followed by Islands of Adventure (both of which have amazing theming).
Disney bail bondsmen! Disney bounty hunters chasing skippers! DISNEY COLT SEAVERSES!!! ( Yes please )
now I’m not one to kiss and tell, but I’ve been seen with Minnie…
