I don’t know if “Dragonball Z” falls into this category, but there’s a lot more tough-talking and posturing than battling when it’s time to fight. One of my nieces started calling the show “DragonStall Z” after waiting through yet another endless and repetitive palaver.

“Shokugeki no Soma” is pretty great. “Food Wars”. Basically a cooking show battle anime.
