Consider that nostalgia-fest bookmarked for later. Awesome!

Also, did those guys ever finish their game of ping-pong?

Nobody liked 7-Zark-7. Now, 1-Rover-1 was a different story.

1-Rover-1 was a cheap K9.

Ahh. Many childhood dreams about The Phoenix.

Explain to me how 7-Zark-7 wasn’t a poor mashup of R2D2 and C-3PO? Defend yourself, sirrah! Oh, who am I kidding. I loved it all.

They’re still playing right now.

Not only that, there was a live-action adaptation of Gatchaman: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r56XwTGidsU

As if K9 himself wasn’t cheap.

Off-topic: what tags do I add so the Youtube video preview shows? Seems like I knew at one time, but I’ve forgotten…

A very disappoint movie. TV spot for NTT was a lot of better. https://youtu.be/yAkZBwucoeQ

Nice link, but it might just cause a seizure if you’re not used to Japanese strobing smash-cut edits.

Jason was the original anime bad boy.

Battle of the Planets had a weird relationship with naming. English Adaptations were released under the names:

Eagle Riders
Battle of the Planets
G-Force: Guardians of Space

If any of those seem nutty, consider the original was called in Japan, “Science Ninja Team Gatchaman”

I remember it as G Force: Battle of the Planets. Took me ages to find it on youtube the first time.
