Not sure, but it’s definitely one of the best British detective shows produced so far. I like the portrayal of a detective completely frustrated with work and life while searching for a better career path.
(And thankfully, Honeysuckle Weeks has not proven to be the sidekick that is problematic in real life, like Laurence Fox has.)
Honeysuckle Weeks played Morse’s driver and sometimes private detective assistant. From what I know, she’s a good egg, despite difficulties with alcohol.
Laurence Fox played junior detective Hathaway in Inspector Lewis, and…well, see for yourself.
Maybe so but Parks and Rec IIRC totally worked internationally. Sometimes the way to be universal is to be really, really specific. I think Joyce said that more or less. I just didn’t watch it. I mean to, after watching a couple, but I stopped watching telly for a while or something and never got around to it which is why she was a surprise to me when I saw her in Black Bear.
Getting caught up on the 4th season of Handmaid’s Tale… god damn, that scene where June shows up at the prison where Serena is being held, and then gives her a piece of her mind…
One thing I have to say about Slow Horses is… I think Gary Oldman is great, but having read (many if) the books first, and I hate myself for this, but I always pictured Jackson Lamb (looks-wise) as Steve Bannon.
