Let 'em go. Legal size was 4.5 feet, and I trust the DNR to set creel limits which protect the animals.
I did find a Chinese supermarket which sold some bycatch and so got to grill up a 3 foot specimen. Was yummy.

I don’t fish. If I did, I too would do as I was told.
Shark is good, We used to serve it a little bit in the late 70’s. One thing that I’ve only had or served once that was real good is barracuda. They are quite low yield though.
The only thing surfers hate more than great white sharks…stand-up paddle boarders.
