In the 90’s I spent a fair bit of time in Mexico. One day I was really really craving pizza and I found there was a pizza hut in town. I went and it looked like normal pizza. The place was packed with happy customers. When I took a bite I discovered the tomato sauce was a runny version of Ketchup (Less sweet than US ketchup but still way sweeter than tomato sauce and none of the spices you would expect). And if there wasn’t enough of it on your pizza, every table had a bottle of the stuff clearly labeled ketchup. It was edible and after a bit the sweetness wasn’t as noticeable but it was strictly an option of last resort for me when the cravings grew stronger than the shame.

Yes, but they have a much lower arrest rate of having it on them. That’s where the disproportionate oppression comes in. You’re average white college bro will get a stern lecture from cops who find them with pot. Your average black college bro will get arrested or worse for the same thing. That’s the problem that @Brainspore was addressing. Even if the Feds do start enforcing federal drug laws in legal states, it will be applied disproportionately to POC.

If Trump wants to see some nasty resistance on a whole new level, he should fuck with our marijuana system in Oregon. Which is working exceptionally well. Marijuana is a lifesaver for me for evening out depression and anxiety. Thanks to our legal above-board system, I have three shops within walking distance where I can reliably buy cheap, well-labeled high-quality strains that do exactly what I need them to do and which benefit an immense number of Oregonians immeasurably. Our mj industry is thriving here, and people like it. They voted for it for fucks sake. What about all this ‘states rights’ bullshit? I guess thaf only matters if it’s states wanting to do shit republicans like, like slavery or treating blacks like subhumans.

I’ve always loved weed, but remained sceptical about medicinal use. Turns out if you have the knowledge of which strains help with what, and reliable access to those strains, it is indeed a potent, cheap, and natural remedy for many things. Legal states have experienced this now, and that is something so powerful that people are going to be willing to fight this bullshit to the bitter end.

Plus don’t forget that the drug cartels are getting hit money wise due to the legal pot. If the DEA REALLY wanted to end the cartels, make pot legal and watch the cartels run out of money. But that’s not going to happen.

Unfortunately I just won the bet I had going. My goal with depression is ‘get this monkey off my back so i can actually do things’ instead of ‘get monkey off back so I can sit around browsing reddit all day.’

There are many strains that will do exactly that. You want a high energy sativa dominate. I would recommend Blue Dream or Allen Wrench. If you are in a legal state go to a local shop and tell them exactly what you what as a result and they should be able to recommend you something good.
