Why (or why not) to vote for Bernie Sanders

Seems like a whole lot of folks have completely failed to account for how much difference it makes when there’s a candidate to vote for.

But looking at all those young folks, I can’t help thinking, I hope you guys know you can’t solve this in one big street party. For any of this matter more than half a damn, you’re gonna have to get along to congressional elections to vote against cunts.

Bernie told the crowd outside basically the same thing. I’ve been to the rallies and I’ve talked to people that’ve been to the rallies as well. The majority are in this for the long haul. They understand that only a small part of this is getting Bernie elected. The real work begins afterwards to unseat obstructionists.

That said, it’s always worth reiterating to any and all Bernie Sanders voters that the following midterms, etc. are just as vital as the primaries and general election. And, voting isn’t all that needs to be done. We absolutely have to get involved in our government. We have to run and support good people locally and statewide as well. Otherwise, voting for Sanders and getting him elected will be next to worthless.

Even though a lot of the specifics are completely different, this is starting to remind me of John Anderson. Hopefully this will go farther.

Yep, rural areas in general are looking positive for Bernie.

Yet another reason for people to understand that Bernie doesn’t have all the same dynamics (and weaknesses) that Obama had when he was up against Hillary Clinton.

And, this looks really, really bad for Clnton:

Why vote for Bernie Sanders? He’s honest and answers questions instead of pandering.

The googles can’t seem to tell me where this sign was found in the wild. I’d kinda like to know.

How did you know?

Excellent. There’s hope for our gerrymandered hinterlands yet. And by our, I’m referring to Michigan.

Michigan is actually on the lower end for level of gerrymandering.

As someone who grew up in Michigan, I was pleasantly surprised to see this. I mean, look at the South. The guys who draw the districts do a lot of work to keep it “solid.”

Towards the beginning of the campaign I mentioned to more than a few doubters that part of our badass grassroots movement includes those that helped to get Obama elected.

Here’s a bit of background info and a sort of report card on how we’re doing thus far.

I’d say it’s an A+ so far considering we’ve surpassed ourselves far beyond the successful efforts for Obama in many ways.

If you’d like to see a peek behind the scenes, here’s a pretty good report on the subject:

Reminds me of Dick Cheney hoping that everyone forgets history so he can now attempt to rewrite it.

I’m excited about the debate. Bernie is solid. He doesn’t do stunts. He just talks his talk, that’s it. So, when questions come up and the others dance around, Bernie will just cut to the point. This could work against him, because a large part of these early debates is the “popularity contest” aspect that has nothing to do with the important policy stuff that he’s so good at. I think for Hillary to do better than Bernie, she’s going to have to come out of her shell of being indirect and take him on face to face. It’s anybody’s game at this point. It will be interesting to watch.

Bernanke is weak. He is nothing more than a corporate shill, always was.

Indeed and it’s paying off. Even the corporate media now has to finally admit he’s a serious contender for Hillary and would very well take the White House.

And, Salon reiterates what many of us either already knew or strongly suspected – He can take some red states:

What about on Wednesday when the media trumpets Bernie’s “combative” and “forceful” style? And/or they dip into ageism and doubt his health or ability to sustain? Or they take a dump on him because he forgot to comb his hair? What then? If you think I’m being droll, I’m not. They’re going to do it. Watch.

(BTW, even if he doesn’t win, I am pleased as punch that the Senator, my former Senator, from Vermont has made it this far and is a serious contender. Vermont is full of great people who are reasonable, no matter what side of the aisle they are on. Vermont should be proud their guy has gotten this far, and he is paving the way for other upcoming greats like Debbie Markowitz. If you haven’t heard of her, you should look her up. I know her and she is an awesome person, all heart.)

I like the way he always calls him Bernard.

Like a true big brother. It’s simultaneous affection and maintaining the boot heel lightly on the back of your little brother’s neck. How do I know? Well, I am big brother in my family and I have very little control, but the tiny amount I do possess is achieved by these means… Good man, Larry.
