EDIT: Actually I saw it happen live and holyshit was it magical. Just Bernie and the Bird staring at each other in silence… wow. [well not silence exactly, the crowd was defining]
EDIT 2: Bernie Sanders said that the bird was actually a dove asking us for world peace, not a sparrow. I just watched his new ad and realized, that maybe that bird really was a dove:
Weirdly, The Stranger pulled some kind of weird semi-endorsement for both Sanders and Clinton this week (suggesting Sanders if you were <30, Clinton if you were older), while the Seattle Times endorsed Sanders (Dan Savage thinks that’s a bullshit endorsement -they also endorsed Kasich, which is who’d they’d go for in the general, were it an option).
As she tucked in her hair and observed herself critically in the mirror she sang a song. She sang in harmony. Not, of course, with her reflection in the glass, because that kind of heroine will sooner or later end up singing a duet with Mr. Bluebird and other forest creatures and then there’s nothing for it but a flamethrower.
But maybe that’s better than singing in harmony with yourself.
Even this ostensibly postive Sanders story is quickly turned into an attack on his supporters. The Guardian continues to be all-in for corporatist establishment candidates. And apprantly you’re aggressive and arrogant if you feel that way. Why, you’re as bad as Trump fans.
And with the latest Bloomberg News poll showing Sanders in a virtual tie with Clinton across the US, her campaign has been treading the challenging path of taking on Sanders without alienating his supporters …
The Clinton camp, sensing the nomination is all but won, has been urging her supporters in Washington to reach out to those who back Sanders…
But that prompted a discussion about how difficult it will be to work with people who have been “so dismissive, arrogant and downright nasty”.
Well that is nice to see.
It was about 90% Sanders for my local precinct and it seemed like about the same throughout the caucus
It was nice morning for the about 1 mile walk there. In some ways it was cool that they were overfilled for the space but then only 60ish people total for my area showed up which isn’t a lot really. Still as meh as I am about campaign stuff it does feel good to go participate in the process of choosing.
Yeah it takes a lot of time. I was there till noon and it isn’t like going into vote (which is what I was used to in Missouri). I can see where a lot of people just don’t want to bother, or can’t get off work for the hour or two to participate.
IDAHO FALLS – Presidential Democratic candidate, Bernie Sanders, received a warm welcome by Shoshone-Bannock Tribes supporters on Friday, March 18 during his first visit to Idaho. The rally was at Skyline High School. Shoshone-Bannock tribal members Dude Perry, Angela Diaz, Sunshine Perry and her son and Patazikivaa Perry left their home in Bannock Creek at 6 a.m. to attend the rally. They waited in line for two and half hours despite the cold to see the Senator from Vermont.
