Why (or why not) to vote for Hillary Clinton

I’ve got to read it one of these days.

no, no you don’t really.

Well I like reading your posts. And I like theology and history. My obstacle is that it sounds kind of reactively polemical, and we have enough of that in our lives already.

I think your informative post and link is very convincing. However a “Bernie or Bust” supporter signifies a Bernie supporter, that may be impossible to convince to vote for Hillary.

Great post Humbabella::princess:

Libya, e-mails, Wall Street etc etc etc…

These tried and failed lines of attack against Hillary is not working in the democratic presidential primary–and will not work or resonance with voters in the presidential general election.

Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton will be the 45th President of the United States.

I certainly agree with you. President Obama even said he could win a third term, if it were allowed. Hillary has been politically smart and benefited politically, because she has championed the economic success and how far America has come under the leadership of President Obama.

I love it; he just breezes back in, innocent face on…

@khepra: do you deny any affiliation with Correct The Record?

Just curious, does this work you’re doing here for Mrs. Bill Clinton pay well?

Oh, looky here, Clinton just got the all-important Koch Brothers endorsement. I guess we were wrong to doubt her.

The Koch Brothers are right, Hillary “would and will” make a better president than sexist, xenophobic, discriminatory, racist and bigoted republicans like Ted Cruz, Donald Trump or John Kasch.

The Koch Brothers comments on Hillary are designed (and an attempt) to politically damage Hillary, because they know people like you will point to their comments, as proof why Hillary should not be the democratic presidential nominee.

The Koch Brothers do not want to face Hillary in the general election.

“Hillary isn’t quite as bad as the overt theocratic fascists”.

Hooray.

Why (** *** ***) vote for Hillary Clinton. Because I think she is the most qualified person running for the office of President of the United States.

Why (** *** ***) vote for Bernie Sanders. I would guess, because you think Bernie is the most qualified person running for the office of President of the United States.

That’s great!

We support the two political candidates that will without a doubt, (one of them) become the 45th President of the United States.

Now, is it sensible for me to conclude (like you have about me) since you support Bernie Sanders–and ask the question: Just curious, does this work you’re doing here for Mr.Sanders pay “you” well?

Given the comparisons and choice, I agree.

Has it been shown that astroturfers are being paid to push Sanders in comment sections?

To repeat: this “Correct the Record”: http://correctrecord.org

Or, to be marginally more truthful, this: http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/politics/2014/07/david_brock_s_correct_the_record_the_former_right_wing_operative_is_hillary.html

Something akin to this needs to be posted every day until Clinton is impeached.

Yves Smith at Naked Capitalism writes of the piece linked below,

A must read. I hope all of you will redouble your pro-Bernie social media efforts to burn up this PAC money as fast as possible. Start with circulating information about paid Hillary trollies on FB and Twitter. Lambert suggests asking everyone on Twitter or FB who is pro-Clinton if they are being paid and if so, how much per hour.

More great news today from Bernie Sanders, as he identified requirements that need to be met by Hillary Clinton, if she wants his support and endorsement in the 2016 general election for President of the United States.

There are many more similarities than differences between Hillary and Bernie regarding social, cultural and political ideology. I am sure the requirements listed by Bernie will be not only welcomed by Hillary, but are needed to unify the Democratic Party–and will make the Democratic Party stronger.

Bernie showed a lot of class and leadership by making his requirements known, even though the democratic presidential nomination is still being contested. Bernie Sanders could still win the democratic presidential nomination, but he is making sure his political revolution continues–and his supporters see meaningful results for their loyal and passionate support for his democratic presidential candidacy.

Many of Bernie’s young supporters represent the current and specifically the future of the Democratic Party. There may very well be a future president among the many young and passionate Bernie Sanders supporters.

The Democratic Party should go even farther and adopt Bernie’s requirements as part of the 2016 Democratic Party Platform at the convention this summer.

It probably won’t happen, but I would love to see Bernie be Hillary’s V.P. choice. Hillary should give Bernie the choice of refusing or accepting the V.P. nomination. I think age is overblown. If Bernie can be president, he can be Vice-President.

Bernie would make a great V.P. It would give Hillary a experienced, perceptive, restrained yet strong voice in the Situation Room. President Obama put Vice-President Biden in charge of overseeing the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. I wonder what a President Clinton could put Vice-President Sanders in charge of reforming and overturning? I’ll abbreviate two things W.S. and C.U. respectively.

From: Bernie Sanders Lays Out His Requirements For Endorsing Hillary Clinton | HuffPost Latest News

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) insisted he’ll stay in the presidential race, but outlined conditions under which he would endorse Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton “if I can’t make it.”

Sanders, who badly trails Clinton in delegates for the Democratic nomination, said Wednesday that his chief priorities include making sure the party embraces his anti-establishment platform and expands its base.

Sanders also listed policy demands he would make of Clinton, including a single-payer health care system, a $15 an hour minimum wage, tougher regulation of the finance industry, closing corporate tax loopholes and “a vigorous effort to address climate change.”

“I am very worried. I mean, I talk to these scientists. This planet is in serious danger. You can’t cuddle up to the fossil fuel industry — you’ve got to take them on,” Sanders said, alluding to Clinton’s ties to oil and gas companies.

So… basically the only thing he asked for that isn’t already in her platform is single-payer healthcare.

I get the weird feeling that this is a face saving maneuver for when he finally concedes to so he can tell people that they accomplished something.
