Why (or why not) to vote for Hillary Clinton

The same leaks show that she wants to reduce the US’s missile count too, but most will just focus on the fact that she was sympathetic to HEINOUSLY BASHING mellinials

Why (** *** ***) to vote for Hillary Clinton

It is very difficult to win Ohio in a presidential election without winning Northeast Ohio, home of Cuyahoga County. One influential millennial who supported President Obama in 2012, helping him win Ohio (specifically Northeast Ohio, home of Cuyahoga County), was the greatest active player in the National Basketball Association (NBA), “The King” LeBron James.

Hillary Clinton will be in Akron, Ohio tomorrow, the hometown of Lebron James, which just happens to be located in Northeast Ohio. Hillary Clinton and her campaign will be engaging voters during a rally, voter registration and get-out the vote drive.

LeBron James support for President Obama in 2012 was important and helped President Obama win Ohio. LeBron James is one of the most politically active and socially engaged athletes in America.

http://www.cnn.com/2016/10/02/politics/lebron-james-endorses-hillary-clinton/index.html

…James, in an op-ed posted by Business Insider, wrote that he backs Clinton because "she will build on the legacy of my good friend, President Barack Obama…

…James writes. “We need a president who understands our community and will build on the legacy of President Obama. So let’s register to vote, show up to the polls and vote for Hillary Clinton.”

James, the most well-known basketball player in the United States, currently plays for the Cleveland Cavaliers and it is likely that his endorsement is more coveted than most Ohio papers.

“Hillary has always been a champion for children and their futures,” James writes. “For over 40 years, she’s been working to improve public schools, expand access to health care, support children’s hospitals, and so much more.”

The basketball star also heralded Clinton for touting affordable college and addressing violence “of every kind, the African-American community is experiencing in our streets and seeing on our TVs.”

The timing of Lebron James endorsement is politically smart and strategic, as it will not only help increase the turnout of millennials for Hillary Clinton, but also Lebron James supporters, and Cleveland Cavalier and NBA fans in general, all which are abundant in Akron, Cleveland, Northeast Ohio, Cuyahoga County–as well as the entire state of Ohio.

Akron, Ohio is also home to the University of Akron, a major college in Ohio, just 43 miles from Cleveland, Ohio.

…the University of Akron is one of the largest principal campuses in Ohio.

Big day tomorrow in Akron, wish Lebron James could actually be in Akron, however the Cleveland Cavaliers are in two-a-days in training camp, as they prepare to defend their NBA Championship.

Why (** *** ***) to vote for Hillary Clinton

Unlike Mike Pence, Hillary picked a VP candidate who is inclusive of others, socially qualified–and prepareed if needed, to become President of the United States.

Important Vice Presidential debate tonight. Hillary Clinton and democrats up and down the ticket, need Tim Kaine to continue the momentum created by Hillary after the first presidential debate.

Here’s hoping Tim Kaine is aggressive and assertive tonight. Kaine in clear and pointed terms–should make the case that Mike Pence’s record is that of a poster child for extreme right-wing oppression of minorities, women’s rights, LGBTQ rights, and immigration reform.

Pence has worked against the economic and healthcare interests of poor and working class Americans; engaging in obstruction and opposition as a U.S. Senator–and supporting and signing into law extreme right-wing and discriminatory legislation as Governor of Indiana.

Mike Pence is unfit to be Vice-President–and should never be placed in a position to rise to the office of President of the United States.

Nice article on Mike Pence’s legislative record as a U.S. Senator and Governor of Indiana.

Just in time for tonight’s VP debate; a ruling by the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. Hope Tim Kaine (a civil rights attorney for 17 years), brings it up, even conservative/republican appointed judges ruled against Pence.

When Indiana Gov. (and GOP vice presidential nominee) Mike Pence learned which three judges would examine his effort to exclude Syrian refugees from Indiana, he might have done a happy dance. The panel included Judges Frank Easterbrook and Diane Sykes, two conservative stalwarts who recently championed a voter suppression law in nearby Wisconsin. If any pair of judges would back Pence, these were the ones.

And yet, even they concluded that Pence broke the law…

If Clinton supporters at the grassroots really want to make a difference at this point, they should try convincing Republicans to vote Libertarian.

It’s not real hard. You hear a neoconservative person say they hate the Orange One, but can’t bring themselves to vote for Secretary Clinton (or can’t bring themselves to vote Democrat, whichever) and you point out to them that the Libertarians are the true party of small government and low taxes. If they are turned off by the personality of Mr. Johnson, point out that he’s not going to win, but by voting for his party they can make a strong statement of their values and beliefs. In fact you can use that counter for nearly any objection they might raise - you say “yeah, but they aren’t going to win, so you don’t have to worry about that, look at the upsides!” End result, one less vote for the GOP, and everyone is as happy as they can be under the circumstances.

I think it’s too late for Joe Average to get a bunch of people to switch to voting Democrat, you’ve already pumped that well dry (although certainly that’s not true for Ms. Clinton herself - she can still do things and make statements that will make a difference). You’re better off shilling for Libertarianism.

President Obama’s improved approval numbers will help sway and swing voters to Hillary Clinton–and ultimately help Hillary Clinton become the 45th President of the United States.

I was aware of President Obama’s job approval numbers.
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/president_obama_job_approval-1044.html

I was aware of the improving job reports on the economy: wages rising, rising wages of women, record of consecutive months of jobs added, falling poverty rate, record number of job openings, rising median household family incomes, significant and lower U3 and U-6 unemployment rates, significant and lower unemployment rates for minorities, low gas prices etc…etc…

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2016-09-13/u-s-poverty-rate-falls-to-post-recession-low-as-incomes-gain

…Fresh yearly data from the U.S. Census Bureau showed median, inflation-adjusted household income rose 5.2 percent to $56,516 in 2015, the highest level since $57,423 in 2007, when the recession began. Gains were spread across the income spectrum and by race, while women’s earnings inched closer to men’s…

I have been so used to President Obama having low economic and foreign policy approval numbers–I was unaware and quite surprised by his (current and positive) approval numbers on the economy, and even more surprised by the dramatic improvement in his foreign policy approval numbers.

After yesterday’s Trump video revelation–the presidential debate this Sunday is must see TV.

Curious who Robert De Niro will vote for. :smirk:

Wow, I’ve gained a lot of respect for De Niro over the last few months. He’s turned his back on the antivaxxer movement, and now he’s turning his back on trump.

Maybe he’s not such a bad guy after all.

I think a lot of people who only knew Trump wasn’t a politician got suckered in early on. It takes a big man or woman to admit mistakes. I give props to anyone who can admit their errors.

Really, the definition of a “skeptic” is one who will change their minds when faced with scientific and/or very good logical evidence.

From the battleground state of Florida, we have yet another attempt by republicans to engage in voter suppression and repression. Republicans know Florida is a key battleground state. Republicans know their chances of winning diminishes in Florida if there is a large voter turnout , especially among minorities.

Republican governor Rick Scott of Florida and republicans in Florida, unbelievably have attempted to take advantage of a natural disaster–and use (for political advantage), a natural disaster to suppress and repress potential votes (especially minority votes) for Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton.

Just another example of the importance of who is elected president on November 8, 2016. We need a democratic president in office to appoint federal judges who will protect the civil rights of Americans, including the access and right to vote,

“Quite simply, it is wholly irrational in this instance for Florida to refuse to extend the voter registration deadline when the state already allows the governor to suspend or move the election date due to an unforeseen emergency,” Walker wrote in a 16-page order. “If aspiring eligible Florida voters are barred from registering to vote, then those voters are stripped of one of our most precious freedoms.”

Walker also said state law is unconstitutional because while Gov. Rick Scott, a Republican, can suspend or reschedule an election, no state law allows for an extension of the voter registration deadline.

“The right to vote is a ‘precious’ and ‘fundamental’ right,” Walker wrote, quoting from an earlier case.

The judge said more than 100,000 “aspiring eligible” Florida voters are likely to register in the final week before the deadline.

Like Cuyahoga County, located in Northeast Ohio, the Columbus area, home of Ohio State University, is critical in the statewide voting count; for any presidential candidate with aspirations of winning Ohio in a presidential general election,

Great to see so many college students and millennials turn out here in Ohio to become engaged, register to vote-and prepare to vote for Clinton-Kaine, and democrats up and down the ticket in 2016.

That’s the attendance figure provided by the U.S. Secret Service through Clinton’s campaign. Though some reporters estimated a lower crowd count, the rally was unusually large compared to other events Clinton has held in Ohio this election season…

No better person to make the case for Why (** *** ***) to vote for Hillary Clinton–then Michelle Obama.

They call our popular First Lady “The Closer”–her speech today was outstanding.

Michelle Obama for president, please, with Elizabeth Warren as Veep.

Can I vote for that ticket with the names swapped?

No I can’t, I’m Canadian.

I’d love Michelle Obama as the president, actually. Warren can have it after.

Warren has experience as a Senator, though. And I’d hate to have her in a mostly non-voting position instead of being able to use her Senatorial powers for good.

After eight years as VP, though, Michelle Obama should be good to go experience-wise.

Finally found a reason not to vote for Hillary - we might get a new Sisters of Mercy album out of it.

Sorry Americans, I’ll take Trump + Eldritch over Hillary + nothing.

Dude needs to stop whining and start a patron account. Seems to work for lots of people, actually.

Insightful, visionary–brilliant idea Mindysan33. Michelle Obama would make a great president; while Elizabeth Warren would be a great selection as Michelle’s V.P.

First,

Ignore the polls, take nothing for granted, encourage others to vote, vote early, vote on election day. Vote for Clinton-Kaine :girl: :boy: and for democrats up and down the ticket in 2016! :scream:

Then,

Vote Obama-Warren :two_women_holding_hands: in 2024.

It doesn’t look like she’s willing to run. At least, not according to her husband:
