In the early 90s I worked PC repair for a while in NYC. Roach infestation wasnt that uncommon. Worst was an JP LaserJet that a guy brought into the shop. Thousands of the little fuckers came out when we unscrewed the case. Had to shut down the business for 4 days to give the exterminators time to bomb the whole building.

If you have roaches coming from neighbors, maybe roach baits would work better, as they advertise the poisoned roach transmit the poison to the others when it returns to its best.

If roach infestations are that common, it might make sense for the repair shop to quarantine the equipment before opening it up.

I moved North a couple of latitudes, gotta take vitamin D now but man, I sure don’t miss the bugs.
