Muslim fundamentalists at least have funny hats, robes and beards to provide advance warning. When is the Republican Party going to do the same and introduce compulsory orange combovers for its officials?

It’s increasingly obvious that Republican politicians generally don’t understand how anything works. Including, but not limited to, the internet; insurance (health or general); or the United States government.

He could have slapped two hams together vigorously for 30 to 60 seconds, and I would have taken that argument more seriously. I weep for the next generation and the stupid fucking excuses our politicians made to rob them.

Half of them at least will be super happy about it.

And disdainful of anyone who thinks they’re above getting fleeced.

God it took me WAY too long to realize that I needed to stop looking for the quote from Jon Ronson. I was so curious why he would make those claims. I thought he’d gone full Gladwell.

Aaaaanywho. Are republican voters just people whose reaction to their own fear of bullies is to make sure they’re on the bully’s side?

The disinformation campaign on Net Neutrality is amazing. Even people in the IT field who should know better are confused about the facts.

I thought iPhones destroyed health care?

Republican voters must be fans of Richard “The Hamster” Hammond, he’s not even a real hamster!

It takes a while but it’s worth it.

Damn, what happened to video game violence and rap lyrics as reasons to fuck with peoples’ media?

I appreciate your commitment to the environment in creating an image that can and will be recycled again and again and again…

I wonder if this is a recurrent pattern: that each generation’s governance lacks hands-on understanding of the tech developments of the day.

insurance (health or general); or the United States government

Though if the above speculated lag is a truism, it doesn’t get them off the hook for not understanding insurance or government.

Wisconsin’s Senator Ron Johnson blames Net Neutrality for porn

Um, the “blame” word there makes me think he wants to REDUCE support for net neutrality, but the “porn” word there has exactly the opposite effect.

Of course I only read porn for the articles. But seriously, I like living in a world where people are free to decide for themselves what suits them. I went through an “oh wow” phase in 7th grade when I discovered a trove of Penthouses in our garage. A year later I emerged convinced that the Forum letters were all BS; took me a bit to get there, but I got there. I’m glad I had the latitude to go through that process without having my hands (or worse) cut off.

What exactly is the Republucan vision for Anerica’s future?

The words “petty” and “unfair” keep coming to mind.
