Woman neatly hollows out books to store alcohol flasks

I was thinking more along the lines of Whisky does indeed fix everything. :smile_cat:

When you have to hollow out a gun to store books, then you’re really got problems.

Hmmm actually, stuff on microfilm would hide nicely between grip panels and the frame. Stock ARs have hollow grips and stocks you could put small books or USB drives in. The stock compartment is fairly large as it is for a cleaning kit (many older military guns have similar things.)

Otherwise, any magazines is basically small box with a spring and could hold lots of things.

No one said if guns were legal in Fahrenheit 451 or not.

No need for old school microfilm. You can go to Best Buy and get a 128GB memory card the size of a fingernail.

Yeah, but that hardly has the cold war spy vibe.

That said, I should probably make some of my third hand books (even I won’t read them ) into something neat.

I did receive some hate mail due to an AA book I made into a secret flask book.

That could be a whole category unto itself - ironic book safes.

  • A copy of Silent Spring holding a can of DDT.
  • The Great Gatsby holding a driving instruction book.
  • The Sound and the Fury holding a pair of ear plugs.
  • Catch 22 holding a draft card.
  • Invisible Man holding a mirror.
  • You could keep your last will and testament in a copy of As I Lay Dying.
  • The Sun Also Rises makes a great place to keep your Ray-Bans.
  • Store that bottle of glue in a copy of Things Fall Apart
  • A miniature Venus de Milo stored in a copy of A Farewell to Arms
