Thatâs one advantage to a memory alloy. With the right alloy, itâs extremely strong and tough, but can be tuned to deform at low room temperatures or slightly below. So you could make a ring that you could get off by cooling it down a bit and then get it back to itâs shape when the swelling from the car door goes down

My ring is just silver, but it is anyway a coiled snake that is not closed. I have thin fingers with larger knuckles so a conventional one would either not get over or rattle a bit.
