I guess you’re right. What do I know. He only hired underaged prostitutes, so clearly, that’s a lesser crime than others, such as believing Trump lost the election or that immigrants are human beings, or that women are people… Since he’s a white man, he knows better. Clearly.

There are prosecutors looking at Gaetz under a microscope. They will put him away for a long time for the illegal stuff; don’t you worry. The fact that some of the things he did were technically legal is not enough to get him off the hook for the things that were illegal. And society can and will judge him for the technically legal things as well. The fact that some of these high school girls had already celebrated their 18th birthdays at the time is hardly exculpatory. Girls do not suddenly and magically transform into women the second they turn 18, and so we will judge him accordingly, no matter what the letter of the law says. Let the prosecutors worry about what is a chargeable offense; there is plenty of that to be found as well.

I completely agree. I would say he has a number of egregious offences that are technically legal.
