Australia’s largest state has just seen a state election win for Labor, meaning we now have Labor governments at the national level and in every mainland state. Tasmania is the conservative hold-out (but by US/UK standards, not very conservative).

I just heard a report that Bibi would back down on the Judicial hostile takeover Review, (for now) because even his far right coalition members were spooked by the protests overnight.

I was in Sydney at the beginning of March, was hoping that Labor would win, hope they can undo some of the damage 12 years of conservative rule has created (that obsession with selling off public services, ffs).
Nothing seems to be able to stop neoliberalism. I really don’t understand why that is…
