Oh boy, here we go…

Steve Bannon: Lula’s victory was rigged and Bolsonaro shouldn’t admit It.

No surprise there.

I hope Brazilians are somehow able to ignore Bolsonaro more easily than USians have been able to ignore Tromp (who still dominates headlines here at least a couple of days every week).

And if there’s one guy who knows Brazil- it’s not Steve Bannon.

The acolytes of Mr. Bolsonaro said it was not just an election, but a spiritual war, a battle between good and evil.

Well most of us saw it as a battle against evil alright.

Faith is a complicated thing. People choose to believe in something or someone even if the facts and actions of that person say the exact opposite of their belief.

Bolsonaro Remains Silent and Refuses to Receive Ministers

Maybe he’s scheming to figure out a viable way to deny the election results?

My grandmother always said that when a mischievous child (in portuguese arteira) remains in silence for a long time, probably is doing/planing unruly acts.

ETA Justice Alexandre de Moraes orders the police to end blockages on roads occupied by bolsonaristas and imposes a fine of R$ 100,000.00 per blocked hour.

ETA the correct team name.

A caravan of supporters of the Atlético Mineiro football team was going to São Paulo when they found an illegal blockade set up by bolsonaristas. As they would end up losing their favorite team’s game, these fans got off the buses and removed the barricades.

We’re protecting them why again?

Pretty simple: They’re the good Muslims (Sunni, they let us have a military base in their country, put pressure on their allies to do what we say, etc), and Iran are the Bad Muslims (Shia, kidnapped US diplomats thought to be planning a counter-coup, refuse to do what we say, give women slightly more freedom than the Saudis, support groups we don’t like in the Mid East, etc)…
