This whole situation just really, really sucks. A group of literal criminals are taking charge of the government and gutting the power of their Supreme Court.
At some point, it’s status as “the only democracy in the Middle East, so we have to support it,” ought to be reconsidered. Although “closest thing to a democracy in the Middle East, so we should support it” will be enough for some.
This means there will be no two-state solution. It’s dead. They will push for greater Israel and the Palestinians are getting ethnically cleansed. It’s going to be a fucking bloodbath under this new government, unless the Israeli stand up for what’s right here.
It’s already an Apartheid state. Carter called it years ago. This is going to be horrific.
Agreed, but the parliamentary system there is somehow about as dysfunctional (or maybe even worse?) as our electoral college system. In the latest election Netanyahu’s party received less than 1/4 of the total vote and a majority of the population doesn’t like the guy yet he keeps ending up as Prime Minister somehow.
Long, long ago.
It’s not a democracy and it hasn’t been since it occupied and ruled.
I’m aware… and it’s cold comfort for people about to be ethnically cleansed. And it’s no fucking excuse. None. Just fucking none.
Adieu to yieu!
His hardcore fans are divided. Some are sad, feeling betrayed. Some are still waiting for something they can’t explain. Just more 72 hours, be patient they say.
According to the newspapers, Mr. Bolsonaro’s legal team advised Him to leave the country to avoid the risk of meeting the police and spend some nights in jail.
It’s the personality cult thing isn’t it? He can’t have lost and if he did it’s a long term plan. Just watch!
Onde vai um vão todos?
Lula should revoke his passport. He’ll have to be a permanent Trump guest.
Impartial shipping crate inhabitants.
Bah, Trump never came to Brasília to visit him or gave Him special treatment. I think Mr. Trump already forgot Him.
I think that Bolsonarismo will end up doing without Bolsonaro himself and it will still continue thriving. He was silent for 2 months and people were clamoring for the military to intervene and destroy the communists, AKA, everybody they hate. The main characters in this movie were the military
In this case, they must leave the barracks and Go back home. The Nation doesn’t need a bunch of comedy agitators trying to mess our lives with their meaningless desires.
I think on reflection it should have been onde vamos um vamos todos. The whole “Where We Go One We Go All” Q nonsense.
Fortunatelly the Q stuff is still a niche dellusion here. On the other hand, the Culture Wars is a blockbuster.
