Is this a hoosier/redneck part of Ohio or a moneyed suburb of Cincinnati or both?
possibly not all of Ohio? I was riding through Xenia one Summer on the Little Miami rail trail, and the big city park there was filled with people of all sorts, sitting, and picnicing, and playing together, kids and adults alike… it was (to me) striking. I’ve asked about it, and people theorize that some parts of Ohio were racially mixed before and after the civil war in periods of new industrialization where there were plenty of jobs and no one “losing”…
All of this could be wrong, but compared with Gary and Indianapolis… and Cincinnatti which isn’t that far away…
