Exactly. While there can be regulatory overreach, the truth is that regulations and laws are put into place because we learned things (photo eyes for garage doors save lives and prevent injuries) or people have repeatedly done immoral, evil things to others. People who scream the most about regulation are the ones that want to get away with things. Self oversight by industry is ludicrous.

He set up all those golf courses primarily because any proper club would kick him out after day one, didn’t he.

Trump set up golf courses to make money, and failed. Much like he seems to have failed at practically every other business venture he’s turned his hand to. He didn’t even manage to get two terms as president.
