I actually sleep on a single giant segment of thread that I worsted myself over time. The most difficult part was processing the woad until I found a good industrial indigo source.

Yes, yes it is. Thread counts are very often made up. Counterfeit, if you like. A good 600TC sheet can weigh three times that of a fake 1000TC, it’s so obvious when you’re holding them.
These are also ludicrously underpriced for a genuine product that has no reason to suddenly be 90% off. If that alone doesn’t set off alarm bells, perhaps you deserve these sheets.
