People who get all bothered by the “socialist” thing need to look at actual policies. Sanders is middle-of the road New Deal Democrat. It’s the party that’s shifted way to the right. He’s in line with crazy revolutionaries like these guys:
Can I just give this a HUGE “Amen, and Preach ON!!”
That interview was actually from last election. The point is still good: you prove electability by winning elections, and that’s the main benefit of a sequence of contested primaries. I hate that Bloomberg, Buttigieg, and yesterday even Warren are making “electability” attacks on Bernie. (I’m kind of impressed that Biden is still focusing on policy differences.) Also the press, but they always do that.
The shorter version
RS knows how to grab the bit of a news story that should’ve been the headline and make it the headline
“But we need the superdelegates…”, say the apologists for the DNC leadership, who are no longer hiding why they’re needed.
These zentrum clowns seem intent on giving a child-caging right-wing populist a second term rather than put a socialist in the White House.
Those apologists need a good whacking with a clue stick.
Way to cap off your article Yahoo, you nailed it:
As far as the veracity of the woman’s story, a third-party witness said he heard the conversation in question. David Zielenziger, also a former Bloomberg employee, told the Washington Post about the exchange, further noting that Bloomberg’s behavior was “outrageous” and he “understood why she took offense.”
“So that’s all the gooshy emotion stuff, but as for evidence, don’t worry, a man said it happened, and has ruled that a woman can be offended by it.”
This kinda reminded me of something Yang said a few days ago about if the DNC does not want Bernie to win; they’re going to have to force Biden, Klobuchar and Steyer to drop out so they could win a heated convention with delegates.
Voting obstruction? Hmmm sounds like … THE REPUBLICANS!
A little something to lighten the mood for a moment…
Does anybody know if the takedowns extended beyond socialists and Bernie supporters?
Vox had an interesting take on how Pete’s linguistics have both helped and hurt him
Love how she got Steyer simply based on his tie.
As for Scrooge… how disturbing is it that there is a large possibility that there is a RL billionaire known for not wearing pants?
