I wish Clinton would just stay out of it this time. She was liability enough in 2016, and no-one wants to be reminded of her campaign’s rescue of defeat from the jaws of victory.
In contrast, the voices of Mayors Lightfoot and Bottoms are ones we really need to hear at this moment. They’re both standing up for our diverse cities against small-minded and mean-spirited Republicans.
As for Biden, as long as he gets through the appearance without an embarrassing gaffe I’ll count it as a win.

Biden is the front runner- he needs to start doing some of these interviews to seal the deal. The Mayor’s need to be heard now - especially Bottoms.
I think that Hilary can speak to election interference better than anyone. She was the first woman major party candidate, a Senator and Secretary of State - and sure she didn’t run her campaign correctly in some swing states; but she won the popular vote by 3 million voters. She obviously had supporters and there’s no reason to not reach out to them. This is the time where you ask all party members to come together.
And you know who also deserves blame for Trump - we do - as a country.

Agreed. As long as he sticks to script and Joy Reid doesn’t bait him into making a stupid statement (which she won’t) he should be fine. He can occasionally come out exceptionally strong with good coaching from his staff, but for whatever reason that coaching is very uneven.
The number of people who supported Clinton in 2016 but who might not support Biden in 2020 is probably so small that her public support, obligatory though it is, won’t make much of difference – except to remind Dems who didn’t support her that Biden comes from the same incompetent and complacent Third Way branch of the party. She made her endorsement in April, but after that she should have just gone away.
