No they weren’t. https://www.thebalance.com/hillarycare-comparison-to-obamacare-4101814

The 1993 plan allowed regional groups to optionally provide a public option but there was no federal public option like Biden is proposing. It was certainly not single payer.

If the initial results have Trump in the lead, to be slowly erased as the mail-in ballots are counted, expect him to declare victory on the night, and then that it was stolen and invalid.

Hopefully he never gets the chance, with a clear defeat that night, and the counting just piling on agro damage.

Out of the other side of Cheeto Mussolini’s mouth, he’s complaining that a debate won’t happen before a bunch of states’ residents get their mail-in ballots.

I can’t speak for others, but my absentee ballot will be in the hands of my city clerk within a couple days of me receiving it. There’s a good chance that 45 will lose Michigan before Nov. 3 rolls around.

The problem is when various states start counting those ballots. Florida doesn’t count mail-in ballots until the polls close, so it could easily go Trump on election night and then swing back towards Biden days later.

This will be the next big ballot initiative in Michigan - get absentee ballots counted as they arrive. :disappointed:

They should really start counting the mail in vote a day or two before the election and don’t report results till after polls close.

Edit: looks like I’m late to this party.

Not reporting until election day would be great.

What some describe as a problem, I see as the usual process. Remember the election in 2000? Results are not always certain overnight. I agree with the conclusion in the article that time would be better spent resetting public expectations about when the count will be done. There are plenty of examples from history to get that message across.

We need to push back against fears about what 45 might do that are taking focus away from keeping things running despite the pandemic. Let’s prevent him from disrupting yet another process. A rushed count with mistakes would play right into his “rigged election” narrative.

We also lowered the bar to “don’t talk”.

Don’t talk = don’t lose

Meanwhile, in other parties:

Must be another DNC plot.

I had grown up with someone who got bitten by a rabid bat. Scary shit. We legit thought he was going to die, and the treatments for rabies were horrifying enough. Far better than the alternative, but it still affected me as an impressionable youth. I hope she’s okay regardless of her political affiliation.

“Key among them are prohibiting victims of gun violence from suing firearms manufacturers, blocking US military aid to foreign governments and the abolishment of the US Department of Education. She would reduce all non-violent criminals from American prisons.”

Obviously she doesn’t want people educated, since what she is going for is basically feudalism. ‘Educated Serfs’ is kind of an oxymoron. Once they are educated they resist the label.

In Arabic they call that Boko Haram. It’s exactly what America needs

Triples the states per ballot cost.

She wants to do away with the Department of Education, so maybe she’d be fine with being chained up to a tree and letting it run its course, like in the good 'ole days…
