2020 Election Thread (formerly: 2020 Presidential Candidates Thread) (Part 1)

I think maybe the October surprise is, “Surprise! Donald Trump is president of the United States!”

I’m glad that Biden is saying this. It’s a nice change from the DNC arrogance of 2016.

Many large campaigns go into debt in the final stretch leading up to the election and stiff their vendors, taking a long time to pay the full bills, if ever. Even Hillary was still raising funds to pay off her 2008 campaign debts years later and didn’t fully pay them all off until 2012.

So I’ll bet that a lot of vendors and contractors are seeing the writing on the wall and not providing services to the Trump 2020 campaign without being paid up front. If anyone is willing to accept this guy’s credit, they definitely have fair warning.

News - the next debate will now be virtual.

How can you tell if Trump left the clown filter on?

Edit:

Diseased Donnie just said he won’t participate in a virtual debate.

He’s afraid he’ll lose again. Really - it was his only chance to turn his losing campaign around. He’s just given up and surrendered.

Not that there was really any chance. Obviously Trump refusing to debate is bad for Trump, but could it possibly be worse than Trump doing the debate? It’s not like someone can give Trump a soul transplant between now and then.

Hell - I doubt he could have stood for the entire 90 minutes of the debate. Flopping down on his face on national tv? There’s a good look.

I can see someone putting together a 5 second loop of Trump standing still like it’s a heist movie hacking a CCTV.

But he won the last one… he was the most shouty! /s

I am not surprised he is refusing to participate… he knows he can be muted by a frustrated moderator (which will probably not be a more friendly Fox person) in a virtual debate.

Biden suggested moving one debate back to the 22nd.

Trump is now saying move them it the 22nd and add one on the 29th. Just days before the election. I guess he expects to be able to pass an infectious disease review by then.

Biden should definitely say no to the 29th. And make sure his people test Trump.

Yes. But Biden should also demand the one next week that was already scheduled but virtually, since Trump was having a tantrum over changes to the format prior to his diagnosis.
