From that so do Willie’s, Mickeys, John Thomases…
I know a John Thomas… he tends to vote Libertarian…
I love that woman!
Already 72% voter participation in Oregon based on ballots that have been received up to today. With vote-by-mail, we can expect ballots to continue to arrive through Friday and be validated through early next week. One estimate I saw on the news is a possible 90% voter turnout.
I am as certain as I can be that turnout like that would be the death knell for the Republican party. Watching Texas and Georgia very closely.
Man, I just moved to MN, and as much as they do fine here, Oregon really gets voting right. It’s only been two months but god do I miss that place. (Doesn’t help that we’ve already had 8 inches of snow here.)
2016:
Hillary Clinton 4, Donald Trump 2, Gary Johnson 1 – and a single write-in surprise: Mitt Romney.
Trump voters stayed home. Good.
I think this quiz puts too much emphasis on age cohorts and not enough on socioeconomic status. I sussed out some of the answers through that rather than age.
I got most of them wrong. I did think the discussions of religious and also less conventional names as signals was pretty interesting. But yeah, heavy focus on ages/when names were popular.
Damn!
That’s pretty amazing. Increased voter turnout should favor Dems, not guaranteed but statistically should.
7 O’Clock EST poll closing time.
Fingers crossed.
Drinks are on me.
No surprise here, but still a bummer.
Oh god oh fuck. Florida is so close right now.
I think Florida is going to trend redder and redder every presidential election because of all of the Olds moving there to retire. Don’t wig out too much just yet.
