But he’s SOOOO punk rock!!! /s
The first debate tomorrow night is going to be really fun to watch
Castro had the most specifics of the crowd, I though, with Warren and Booker close behind.
I don’t know what that was about “American rights” that Booker was on about… WTF?
LadyGoose and I did a double take to eachother at “American Rights” too…and both agree at this point a Warren/Castro ticket is looking tasty. They are both lasering in with specific policies, and covering different and complementary areas of expertise. And those demos: a young nerdy hispanic man and an older nerdy midwestern woman? A kid can dream…
He did himself some favors in this debate, that’s for sure… Bringing in specifics is what I like to hear.
The foreign policy part was a mess from top to bottom, though. chuck todd’s “biggest threat” question was bone-headed, and fewer people had specifics there. Even Gabbard who has run on foreign policy, I think.
Warren nailed it on health care.
yeah, when she no-holds-barred dropped the profit number as being “sucked out of our premiums” and then backsliced with “and that’s not even counting the billionare salaries and armies of lobbyists” I wanted her to pick up the whole fucking podium and drop it like a mic.
I was more impressed with Inslee’s depth and breadth than I expected to be. He sells himself as a publicity stunt for climate change but he had some real shit to say.
Also, this is pretty much true:
Just, FYI on who got the most speaking time:
Booker, O’Rourke, Warren top 3… then Castro, Klobuchar, and Ryan, Gabbard, Delaney, de Blasio, and Inslee - from 10 minutes to about 5 in descending order.
[ETA] This seems vaguely useful in seeing what they prioritize on social media:
Kamala Harris: “Joe, I don’t believe you are a racist. But honestly, isn’t it about time you just admit that you are racist?”
She was on fire tonight. And Biden has considerable damage control to do, or he’s toast.
WARREN - HARRIS 2020?
She really made Uncle Joe squirm when she brought up busing. It was awkward in the best possible way.
And it’s time to let go of that torch, Uncle Joe. You’re done.
he can’t pass the torch when his hands are busy giving shoulder rubs
Half of the stage to Joe tonight
His body language throughout the night
