US Passports expire after 10 - and I have been remiss to get renew mine.
Yes. Often used when renting a hotel room or gaining a new apartment. With hotel rooms, you have to surrender them at check-in, and you get them back at check-out.
I kept a photocopy of mine in my wallet just in case I was ever stopped by authorities, but that never happened.
Those are not passports but military IDs (“Військовий квиток” in Ukrainian, “Военный билет” in Russian). They contain details about military service, training, rank, decorations, etc. Presumably veterans of the Soviet army get to keep using their old IDs.
Apparently the Russian invasion of Ukraine is the fault of “the gays”.
