Fresh pineapple makes my lips bleed but I don’t think this is a benefit.
Welp, there’s one rumored benefit I’m glad didn’t make it on the list…
I find that it specifically helps with ITBS.

- It helps the body to process coconut and rum.
Apparently a lot of the good stuff in pineapple can be found in the skin we tend to slice off; I recently learned from a housemate of foreign origin you can toss all the trimmed off stuff in a pot of water, boil it up and strain it out and voila- tasty healthy beverage. (usually served iced I hear, and in this case rose hips and some ginger were involved, but there are all sorts of tasty sounding recipes online)
