LED’s tend to give a more neutral colored light. A traditional bulb with have a orange-ish cast, and you know when you have a color filter over a light, that color appears less prominent ( red looks white under a red filter)… so if he’s adding extra orange under a traditional bulb, he’s gonna look EXTRA EXTRA orange under a more neutral colored light. So yeah those bulbs probably do make him look worse, but only because it’s showing the reality.

I was thinking about that, too. Supposedly Trump applies his own bronzer/makeup, and he’s probably doing that in front of a makeup mirror or his preferred traditional bulb to make himself look the way he wants… and then he’s going out under CFL or LED bulbs and looks freakish.

Yes, but I’m pretty sure Trump also said that Trump was not campaigning. I can’t find a source right now. Maybe it’s just my brain making up false memories based on the idea, “If Trump has admitted something then Trump must have also said it’s not true.”

The carousel in Prospect Park (Brooklyn, NY) has been slowly replacing the bulbs that stud the structure with LEDs over the years. They actually look fantastic. I’m impressed that the bulb shape and orange, carnival glow are spot on.
