The Governor [edit: actually, no, the Speaker of the House] is insisting that not only were Democrats not promised “no votes” while they were at the 9/11 ceremony, but that Democrats skipped the 9/11 ceremony and “drew maps in a secret meeting”.
So, besides that being both insane and not true, the Dems in the N. Carolina House shared this email and text message sent to members, specifically stating no votes at 8:30.
It’s really great how Republicans can keep their party fellows from suffering any kind of consequences because Democrats have this weird compulsion to ensure that the Republicans join in on telling the people whose crimes they’re clearly covering for that they did a bad thing before they go ahead with actually doing anything about the bad things being done.
Once again, I am clearly either taking too many crazy pills, or not nearly enough.
Are you sure you mean the governor, or do you mean the Speaker of the House? Because Governor Roy Cooper has been on the record that the move was a cheat.
It seems like so many Congressional D’s are so focused on playing to traditional politics that they don’t even realize that the R’s have long been playing a completely different sport.
I knew that eventually the other shoe would drop and we’d get the true reason he hates artificial light.
Ironically, he probably looks his best under LED light. But given all of his yelling about how the bulbs he wants to get rid of are “dangerous when broken”, he must be angry about compact fluorescents, which do indeed give a lousy light. Maybe the White House should get a few LEDs and tell them they’re incandescents.
